BJP will throw Anil Antony like curry leaves, says brother Ajith
He said he used to think that Anil would stay away from the Congress party for quite sometimes as he was furious over this but never expected that he would join BJP.

A day after Anil Antony, son of Congress leader and former Defence Minister AK Antony, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and ended his association with the grand old party, his brother Ajith Antony called his decision impulsive.
Ajith also said that BJP will throw Anil out of the party like curry leaves after using him temporarily. Citing the examples of leaders like Alphons Kannanthanam and Tom Vadakkan, who had joined the BJP a few years ago, Ajith said BJP would use everyone temporarily and throw them out like used curry leaves.
Speaking to the media, Ajith said his family is shocked about his decision as they didn’t even have the slightest hint about this. They said they got to know about the development after they saw his news of joining the BJP on channels.

He further spoke about his father’s reaction after seeing Anil accept the BJP membership. Ajith said his father had become so devastated and was seen sitting with utmost pain in a corner of the house. Adding further, he said he has never seen him so weak like this in his entire life. He didn’t shed tears, that’s all, he said.
Terming Anil’s decision of quitting Congress as an impulsive one, he said his brother would have his own reasons to join the BJP and said he used to receive several abusive calls from unknown Congress party workers, which might have hurt him.
He said he used to think that Anil would stay away from the Congress party for quite sometimes as he was furious over this but never expected that he would join BJP. The decision was a totally unexpected one, he added. Ajith further said he believes that Anil will come back to the Congress party after rectifying his mistakes.
