606 fresh Covid cases in Delhi, positivity rate 17%

NEW DELHI: Delhi logged 606 fresh Covid cases-the highest since last August-on Thursday with a positivity rate of 16.98%, according to data from the health department. One more Covid-positive person died in the capital. However, "Covid finding was incidental", it added.
Delhi recorded 620 cases on August 26.
On Wednesday, the city logged a positivity rate of 26.54%, the highest in nearly 15 months, with 509 people testing positive in a day. In January last year, the positivity rate had touched the 30% mark.
Delhi saw 521 cases on Tuesday and one fatality. The positivity rate stood at 15.64%. Delhi's infection tally has now risen to 20,12,670. On Wednesday, 3,569 Covid tests were done.
