Ludhiana health department issues advisory on Covid in view of growing cases
In a statement, health department said that the number of Covid-19 positive cases has increased 10-fold in the last 10 days in district Ludhiana. It added that currently Ludhiana has 68 active Covid-19 cases and 6 admissions.
LUDHIANA: Health department on Friday issued advisory on the covid in view of increasing cases in Haryana.
In a statement, health department said that the number of Covid-19 positive cases has increased 10-fold in the last 10 days in district Ludhiana. It added that currently Ludhiana has 68 active Covid-19 cases and 6 admissions.
"Due to spike in Covid-19 case in district. Health Department has scaled up the sampling of suspected cases of Covid-19 such as patients with symptoms and contact of positive cases etc. Sampling is being done free of cost in all Government health institutions", the statement added.
It added that People are advised to observe covid-19 appropriate behaviour including wearing of mask while outdoor, ensure good hygiene/ hand hygiene, Avoid over crowded and poorly ventilated place, Respiratory Hygiene/Cough Etiquette - Cover mouth and nose with tissue when coughing or sneezing.
Civil Surgeon Dr Hatinder Kaur said that in case of any symptoms such as fever, cough, chills, fatigue, headache, sore throat etc. isolate your self and report to nearest facility to get your self tested.
The authorities said that administration and health department will be conducting Mock drill on April 10 and 11 to review covid-19 preparedness of all health facilities. They added that as of now, there is no need to panic, but we must be prepared as there has been recent spike in no. of covid-19 positive cases.
