Bhuj hotelier gets death threat in mail

Rajkot: A builder cum hotel owner in Bhuj approached the police on Thursday after his manager received an extortion email demanding Rs 20 lakh.
Birju Shah in his complaint stated that he owns a hotel on the Airport Road. His manager received an email on the official ID on April 2.
The mail was in Hindi but written using English alphabets. The accused had threatened to shoot the owner of the hotel if Rs 20 lakh was not paid. The authors of the mail further stated that they knew about Birju Shah’s daily movements, the vehicle he used, and his office location. They also threatened to blow up Shah’s family with a bomb when they were at home. The mail claimed that the accused were from Haryana and warned Shah to not take the threat lightly.
On receiving the email, the hotel manager contacted Shah who approached the police.TNN
