Water supply resumes to Bicholim, Mayem

Bicholim: Water supply was restored to Bicholim town and Mayem on Friday following the completion of the repair work on the pipeline that had suffered a damage near near the IDC road at Muslimwada, Bicholim.
An earthmover accidentally punctured the main pipeline on Thursday, leaving Muslimwada, Bandarwada, Sonar Peth, Bordem, Bhailipeth, Gaonkarwada, the industrial estate area, and some parts of Mayem constituency without water.
The damage had resulted in the wastage of thousands of litres of water.
Water was released at low pressure initially.
