Man gets 20 years RI for raping minor girl

Nagpur: The special judge for Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, on Thursday sentenced 27-year-old Rahul Raut alias Bunty, to 20 years of imprisonment and fine of ₹10,000 for raping a 14-year-old girl. Raut, who had raped her in 2017. The court also convicted Raut for kidnapping under section 363 of India penal code (IPC) sentencing him to imprisonment of three years.

A 27-year-old man, Anees Shaikh, was thrashed to death by two of his friends-turned-foes, Nitesh Mohinkar and Raghuveer Mohinkar, during a drunken brawl at Gangpur Square in Kawrapeth on Thursday. Umred police have arrested Nitesh and Raghuveer.
