Navy coastal car expedition team visits Sainik school

Thiruvananthapuram: A team of Indian Navy officers with their Maritime Awareness Coastal Motorcar Expedition - ‘Sham No Varuna’ which began its voyage on March 26 from Kolkata, visited Sainik School Kazhakkoottam on Thursday.
The expedition is carried out as part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Maholsav’ to instil a spirit for adventure and motivate the young generation to join the Navy. The expedition aims to promulgate career opportunities in the Navy among the students of schools and colleges through their campaigns on the route.
The team interacted with the students as well as the staff of the school sharing their experiences and messages. The team handed over sports kits and books to the cadets of Sainik School in the event conducted in the school guards square.
