Two disappear with 51kg silver
Rajkot: Two brothers engaged in jewellery making business were booked for alleged theft of 51kg of silver from two traders in the city. Manohar Soni and his brother Satyanarayan were given 21kg silver by trader Babu Kanpariya on March 1 for making of ornaments. They made ornaments from just 7kg silver. They also cheated another trader, Sanjay Amipara, by disappearing with his 37kg silver worth Rs 15 lakh. The traders learnt that the brothers had left the city for their native place in Rajasthan. The complaints were lodged at B-division police station.
Rs 6.5 lakh stolen
from angadia firm
Rajkot: Burglars took away Rs 6.5 lakh cash from the office of an angadia firm on Raiya Road on Wednesday night. According to the complaint lodged by firm owner Vijay Saujani, the burglars also took away the DVR so that the CCTV footage could not be accessed by anyone. A complaint was filed at Gandhigram police station.
Two arrested with marijuana
Rajkot: The Rajkot SOG arrested 21-year-old Afzal Fakir with 6kg marijuana brought from Rajasthan. Fakir told the police that a person named Nazir. In another case, in Morbi, the SOG raided Kasiyagala village and arrested farmer Ramesh Dharajia and seized 13kg pods from him.
