Dev Mohan described his humorous first encounter with samantha at the film's test shot during the chennai promotional events.

Dev Mohan recalled that Shaakuntalam's test screening was when he first saw Samantha. He recalled, "Sam entered, she was dressed in smart casuals, and I was on a horse with all the costumes when I first met her. As we were being introduced, I was described as being in the 17th century while she was in the twenty-first. Oh my God, how is this even conceivable, I thought. She then altered her outfit as well. He can't help but smile as she sits next to him.

The movie's second trailer, which will be released the following week, was presented yesterday. The second trailer appears intriguing and includes all the necessary components, including romance, drama, battle scenes, and graphics. It depicts the sweeping love tale between Dev Mohan as Dushyant and samantha as Shaakuntala. Shaakuntalam, directed by Gunasekhar, is a whimsical love story that takes place in Kashyapa Kanumalu (Kashmir), the opulence and splendour of Dushyant's Puru Dynasty.  The epic love affair between Shakuntala, played by samantha Ruth Prabhu, and king Dushyant from the Mahabharata, played by Dev Mohan, is the central theme of the mythical drama.
