A new set of Fortnite Syndicate Quests went live on April 4, 2023. Akin to the first batch, they narrate the events taking place in the timeline and give players an idea as to what may happen in the coming days. While some of the audio logs present in Quests speak of foreshadowing events, at present, Syndicate Quests themselves seem to be running into problems.
Soon after the Quests went live, Epic Games issued a statement saying that they were investigating an issue preventing players from completing 'Stage 3' of the Syndicate Quest. While there are no official fixes put in place by the developers, players can try a few things to sort out the matter themselves.
It would seem that this issue is only affecting a handful of people. While some have reported this Syndicate Quest not completing despite following instructions "to the T," others have been able to complete it in one shot.
This would suggest that it's a bug/glitch that is triggering the Quest and causing it to fail. So how do you fix it? Since Epic Games will take some time to implement an official fix, players can try a few things to solve the problem themselves:
The first method to try and fix this problem is straightforward. Go to the Epic Games Launcher, look for Fortnite, and verify the file's integrity. At times, files tend to corrupt and hamper the gameplay experience. Anyone who uses the Replay Mode a lot will know this is a fact.
Depending on the device on which the game is being played, the verification process may take a while. Once it's done, hop back into the game and try again. If Fortnite Syndicate Quest is still not working, try the next method.
Rather than using weapons of Epic rarity, try using Mythics and/or Exoitics. These can be obtained by defeating the Highcard Boss, opening a Vault, and by using Keys to open Holo-Chests. Keep at least two high rarity weapons in the inventory to increase the odds of success.
The last resort to overcome the "Fortnite Syndicate Quest not working" issue is to exit the Lobby and try again. While this fix is rather rudimentary in nature, at times it does work. Since the bug/glitch is likely associated with the in-game servers, starting a new match may resolve the issue.
Since Challenges/Quests are valid until the end of Chapter 4 Season 2, there's a lot of time on hand to deploy a fix. Worst case scenario, even if the fix takes a week, it will not affect players in the least. They will then be able to complete the task and earn experience points.
With that said, with the next Fortnite update v24.20 scheduled to go live on April 11, 2023 (Tuesday), the developers may just deploy a fix alongside other known bugs/glitches. For now, the best thing to do would be to avoid attempting this Syndicate Quest.
