PM has given country new strength: Sonowal

Guwahati: Union minister for Ayush and former Assam BJP president Sarbananda Sonowal on Thursday said the past nine years under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi have given India a new direction and new strength to rise and take its rightful place in the world.
Speaking at BJP’s 44th Foundation Day celebrations at the party’s state headquarters in Guwahati, the former Assam chief minister said the saffron party has become the force that is leading the resurgent journey of India.
“PM Modi has shown the global vision of becoming the world leader. We all must gradually move in the path and contribute,” he said.
Lashing out at the opposition parties, including the Congress, Sonowal said, “All the opposition parties, including Congress, indulged in corruption over the years. They did injustice to the people of the country. BJP under the leadership of PM Modi has been leading the country from the front after assuming power in 2014. There’s a lot to do to eradicate corruption from the country.”
