State sees 162 Covid cases, 108 recoveries

Panaji: With 949 tests conducted over the past 24 hours, Goa recorded 162 Covid-19 cases on Thursday.
With 108 recoveries, including five hospital discharges, the recovery rate dropped marginally to 98.1%.
On Thursday, six patients were required to be hospitalised, while the balance was asked to self-isolate.
Goa currently has 872 active cases.
A doctor at the health services said that though there have been a few hospitalisations since last week, the condition of patients was not critical.
“Most of them are elderly and have comorbidities, and with a possibility that their condition may worsen. As a precaution, some were shifted to hospital,” the health official said.
Others who may have Covid should stay at home in isolation and take medication only on the advice of a physician, the official said.
