It has been almost three years since the Kia Sonet was introduced in India. The brand's smallest offering is now set to get a mid-life makeover. Latest spy images suggest that work on the Sonet facelift is in full swing at Kia's HQ in South Korea.
A heavily camouflaged test mule of the Sonet facelift has been spotted. The crossover is expected to get redesigned front fascia inspired by other models in the brand's line-up. We could see redesigned headlamps with an updated LED signature, new dual-tone alloy wheels along with changes to the rear end.
Kia might also make some changes to the interior. The updated Sonet could get a large touchscreen infotainment system, sunroof and new upholstery.
The Sonet facelift is expected to get the same petrol and diesel engines as the current model. These include the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines that have recently been upgraded to comply with the RDE norms.
