Chatra: A special team of the Chatra police has solved the murder of a 20-year-old youth in the district with the arrest of three people.
SDPO Avinash Kumar who led the team said
Vishnu was murdered for having an affair with sister of one of the accused. His mutilated body was recovered from Chuari village in Kaindi Nagar panchayat under Rajpur police station limits on March 28.
“We have recovered the knife used for murder, empty liquor bottles, the mobile of Vishnu and his gold chain from the murder spot,” Kumar said. His relatives told police Vishnu who returned to Rajpur from Mumbai on March 26 left home in the evening to take a walk but didn't return. Later, his body was recovered. Vishnu was working in a construction company in Mumbai.
Investigation led the team to Sanjeet Soni. When grilled, Sanjeet admitted to killing Vishnu with help of friends Rohit Rana and Birendra Bhuiyan. Soni told police Vishnu was having an affair with his (cousin) sister against his wishes so he planned and executed this murder with two of his friends. They called Vishnu for consuming liquor in a forest area and killed him there.
