"The younger patients have mild symptoms like cold, cough and high-grade fever, which is not being cured with paracetamol. So they are coming to us like elderly people. The elderly patients with comorbidities have moderate to severe symptoms. I have admitted a senior citizen who was having difficulty in breathing. Having said that, this wave would be comparatively milder since we have developed hybrid immunity after Covid vaccines and previous Covid waves," said Dr Kuldeep Kumar Grover, head of critical care & pulmonology, CK Birla Hospital.
He added that it's time that people start following Covid-appropriate behaviour by wearing face masks and avoiding large gatherings.
The city has been reporting more than 50 Covid cases every day since March 28 when 57 new cases were reported.
