JAIPUR: Kishanpole MLA Amin Kagzi on Wednesday said despite several requests and reminders, UDH minister Shanti Dhariwal does not give time to discuss development issues of the state capital. The MLA was addressing the media after an event at JMC-Heritage headquarters on Wednesday when he made the comments.
Kagzi said the minister is interested and focused on carrying out development work only in Kota, while he ignores Jaipur city where he is the minister in-charge.
“Why does the minister for local self-government not have time for Jaipur city. In the past 10 months, I have written to the minister at least 10 times to assign XENs, AENs, JENs to different departments, who will help in implementing different schemes and projects of the state government, but the minister does not respond. Chief minister Ashok Gehlot is generous and has approved several projects for the city, but if there are no officials to implement them on the ground, then what is the point of getting the money sanctioned,” said Kagzi.
He further said such an attitude sends out a message among the people that the capital city is being ignored.
