Stock market update: Power stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Power stocks were trading higher on Thursday at 11:21AM

Indowind Energy(up 4.95%), PIGL(up 4.92%), ADANIGREEN(up 4.47%), Adani Transmissions(up 4.46%), Jyoti Structures(up 4.39%), Indo Tech Transformers(up 3.69%), Jaiprakash Power Ventures(up 3.54%), Reliance Power(up 3.24%), DPSC(up 2.94%) and KEC International(up 2.92%) were among the top gainers.

Karma Energy(down 2.70%), Inox Wind Energy(down 2.22%), Voltamp Transformers(down 1.35%), Hitachi Energy India(down 0.69%), Alstom T&D India(down 0.63%), Tata Power Company(down 0.57%), SJVN(down 0.46%), NLC India(down 0.39%), NHPC(down 0.25%) and NTPC(down 0.14%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 24.75 points up at 17581.8, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 126.15 points at 59815.46 at around 11:21AM.

Adani Enterprises(up 3.47%), Bajaj Finance(up 2.45%), IndusInd Bank(up 1.79%), State Bank of India(up 1.75%), Bajaj Finserv(up 1.56%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 1.02%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 0.82%), Divis Laboratories(up 0.75%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 0.71%) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 0.64%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 1.47%), Tech Mahindra(down 1.12%), HCL Technologies(down 1.1%), Nestle India(down 0.89%), Coal India(down 0.79%), UPL Ltd(down 0.68%), Britannia Industries(down 0.64%), Titan Company Ltd(down 0.6%), Infosys(down 0.55%) and TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 0.45%) were trading in the red.
