'Drug addict' attacks wife, son with axe in Ludhiana, booked
Cops from Samrala police station reached the spot and started probe into the matter.
LUDHIANA: A man allegedly attacked his wife and his 17-year-old son with an axe and took his younger son along in Kotala village in Ludhiana district on Thursday morning.
The injured mother-son duo was taken to a government hospital in Samrala and from there doctors referred them to PGI Chandigarh due to their critical condition.
He allegedly took his wife Jaswinder Kaur (37) and son Lovepreet Singh to the fields near their house and attacked them with an axe.
Villagers said that as soon as the parents of the woman came to know about the incident, her two brothers Bhupinder Singh and Avtar Singh reached the village.
Avtar Singh said that the accused was an addict and wouldn’t sleep whole night. He alleged that the accused took his younger son Manjot Singh (14) along and they fear for his safety.
Cops from Samrala police station reached the spot and started probe into the matter.
