Vadodara: Student leaders linked with the Vidyarthi Vikas Sangh (VVS) on Wednesday created a ruckus at the M S University head office while protesting against the delay in the declaration of results at the Faculty of Technology and Engineering (FTE).
VVS student leaders even locked the entrance gate of the university head office after they were allegedly stopped from entering the office by security personnel.
The student leaders who were protesting against the delay in the declaration of results of first-year students of bachelor of engineering raised slogans against the university administration.
“More than 80 days had passed after the regular exams of first-year students, but the faculty decided to conduct ATKT exams from April 10. How would students know whether they have passed or failed their exams?” said Parth Pandya, president of VVS.
“At the same time, results of around 50 students of the second year which were withheld have not been declared. Hence, we decided to stage the protest,” he said.
After a major ruckus, FTE dean professor Dhanesh Patel, deputy registrar of exams and other university officials assured the student leaders that the ATKT exams will be postponed.
“At the same time, the portal for second-year students has re-started. We have been assured that the results will be declared within the next two days,” he said.
