Chart Industries (NYSE:GTLS) on Thursday announced a partnership with McPhy Energy and India's Larsen & Toubro through which the companies will share hydrogen-related technology and solutions with each other.
"Chart’s hydrogen equipment capabilities, including compression via the Howden acquisition, combined with McPhy’s expertise in the design and manufacturing of electrolysis plants, and Larsen & Toubro’s strong local EPC presence, will allow for further penetration into the Indian market, helping to ramp up the hydrogen economy in India and support the decarbonization of the country," the company said in a statement.
McPhy recently granted L&T an exclusive license of its pressurized alkaline electrolyzer technology to manufacture electrolyzers, including future product upgrades.
Chart, through its MoU with McPhy, will provide hydrogen-related processes and equipment into applications which include hydrogen compression and hydrogen liquefaction.
