Maharashtra Government sets up committee to regulate Ola and Uber – Here's what you need to know

The committee will be headed by Sudhirkumar Shrivastava (retd), an IAS officer, and has been given a deadline of three months to submit its report. The guidelines aim to regulate the operations of taxi service aggregators like Ola and Uber and ensure passenger safety. The committee will also look into issues such as fare regulation, driver training, and background checks for drivers.
