Haryana: 2 murder cases registered in Ambala and Yamunanagar

AMBALA/YAMUNANAGAR: The Haryana police have registered two murder cases in Ambala and Yamunanagar districts.
In first case, one Vijay Kumar, who lived at his maternal grandfather' house in Kesri village, was allegedly attacked with sharp-edged weapons by unidentified masked men on March 31.
“Vijay was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Ambala. He died on Wednesday night,” said a police officer.
Earlier we had filed an attempt to murder case but now section of murder has been added in the case, he added.
In Yamunanagar, the deceased was identified as Vishal Kumar of Chuharpur Kalan village in Chhachhrauli area.
On the complaint of Vishal's cousin, Aditya Kumar of Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh (UP), a case has been registered against Shekhar, Abhishek and Ashu alias Yash, all residents of Chuharpur Kalan village at Chhachhrauli police station on Thursday.
Aditya alleged that said at about 5 pm on Wednesday, he received a call from Vishal that his car’s fuel tank got empty midway and asked him to bring petrol.
“After taking petrol from a fuel pump, I met Vishal near Ashram at about 5.30pm. After filling petrol in Vishal’s car when I was about to place the can, six men came there on two motorbikes. Shekhar, Abhishek and Ashu were on one bike, while three more men were unknown to me,” said Aditya.
Aditya said all six persons were armed with swords and sticks and they started beating and attacking Vishal. He said Shekhar and Abhishek attacked Vishal with swords and he fell down.
“The accused people continued beating Vishal while he was on the ground and when I jumped in to rescue him, they attacked me too. Upon hearing our cries, people gathered and accused fled the spot on their bikes,” said Aditya.
He said Vishal was rushed to a private hospital in Yamunanagar, where doctors declared him dead.
“Ashu and Shekhar were arrested and efforts are being to nab others,” said a police officer.
