Man fakes identity to lure 22-year-old woman, rapes her

RAJKOT: A 26-year-old was arrested by the Jamnagar city C division police for allegedly raping a 22-year-old woman with the promise of marriage. The accused Saifulla Khan Pathan used a fake identity to lure the complainant into a relationship.
According to the police complaint registered by the woman, she was in a relationship with Pathan who had introduced himself as Ruturajsinh Jhala. They had physical relations multiple times over the last two years when they were together.
However, the woman came to know about Pathan’s real identity recently. The woman and Pathan met at a mall when the woman was in process of buying an air conditioner. At that time, the Pathan, who introduced himself as Jhala, worked as a loan agent and helped her finance the air conditioner.
The police have completed the medical checkup of both, the complainant and the accused, and arrested Pathan
