Resolve to make city best: Speaker at ‘Vision Kanpur’
Kanpur: Vidhan Sabha Speaker Satish Mahana who was chief guest in ‘Vision Kanpur 2047’ symposium held on Tuesday said it was the responsibility of residents of the city to envision how the city should be in the coming 25 years .
“We have to think for ourselves and our children and if citizens resolve to do it, the vision of Kanpur @2047 will take shape,” he added. Mishra said by the time India celebrates its 100th year of Independence, it would be a developed country.
He said everyone’s contribution was important in their respective field and added that vision, passion and technology are already there and all we need is to use it properly.
“We have to change our perspective and change our thinking. Let us all together make our contribution to realising the concept of the vision with meaningful efforts,” said Mahana.
He also said that our country and city give us everything, so we should learn to pay back. “Let us resolve to make for our future generation a new and beautiful Kanpur,” he added.
Chief secretary Durga Shankar Mishra said Vision Kanpur @ 2047 was launched on October 4, 2022, after which there was dialogue with different sectors, in which participants made valuable suggestion. “If the country is progressing, our city should also progress. Kanpur is an important city with a distinct identity,” he said.
