Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse; From the Pointing Spidey Meme to Spider-Horse, Here Are 10 Interesting Bits in the New Trailer

Live-action Spidey tease

In the international version of the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse trailer, the teaser begins with a small narration featuring dialogues and logos of the three live-action Spider-Man variants, played by Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland.

Spider-Punk showcases some rock flair

When it comes to some punk action for the trailer, Hobie Brown aka Spider-Punk had it covered. The Spidey variant will be voiced by Oscar-winning actor, Daniel Kaluuya.

Death of Miles Morales' father

The trailer shows the importance of the death of a close one in the journey of Spider-Man. For Peter Parker, it's the death of Uncle Ben, which kickstarts his adventure as a vigilante, and it's very likely that Miles Morales will have to face a similar fate with the impending death of his father.

Spider-Dad and Mayday

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse shed light on Peter B. Parker's fear of fatherhood. However, after taking a leap of faith, the Jake Johnson-voiced character will be joining the adventures of the sequel with his daughter, Mayday.

Spider-Man pointing meme

It wouldn't be a multiversal Spider-Man movie without the various variants pointing at each other. In Spider-Man: No Way Home, it's the three live-action versions. However, in the Spider-Verse sequel, the number of characters involved jump quite massively.

A Spider-Horse?

At the end of the trailer, Miles is being chased by various Spider-Man variants, led by Spider-Man 2099. Amongst the various Spideys, fans can spot a Spider-Horse variant as well.

First look at Spider-Byte

According to the film's Funko Pop! lineup, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will feature Spider-Byte, and the trailer offers a first look at the character.

A change in Spider-Gwen's origin

In Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Gwen Stacy's backstory featured a dead Peter Parker, who perished following his battle as the Lizard against the former. However, in the trailer, Parker is shown to be dead, while wearing his Spidey suit.

No more trans-dimensional glitching

The first Spider-Verse film showcased the ill-effects of being in an alternate universe. However, it seems like Miguel O'Hara aka Spider-Man 2099 has solved the problem, with a new bracelet device, which prevents the various Spideys from glitching during their trans-dimensional travels.

Scarlet Spider swings into our hearts

Everyone's favourite Peter Parker clone in Ben Reilly aka Scarlet Spider also made an appearance along with his iconic apparel in the red bodysuit and blue hoodie.
