In Alberta, The spending of the UCP government continues on developing a diversified tourism which will create job opportunities and monetary growth and development all over the province.
Travel Alberta through Budget 2023, if it’s passed, has a chance to receive $10 million in two years to build up sustainable year-round experiences environmentally in the most popular destinations located outside of Alberta.
To increase awareness, funding will be used and visitation to remote places all over Alberta that have a huge potential in terms of growth.
Todd Loewen, Alberta Minister of Forestry, Parks, and Tourism, said that from their remote small towns, foothill corners to the backcountry trails and rangelands, one can find several world-class attractions to explore, along with hidden treasures to unravel all over Alberta. The government of Alberta is quite proud to spend in their tourism industry with huge potential and attract more visitors worldwide who can come to experience every corner of their great province.
The UCP government explained that tourism offers opportunities related to financial diversification and development with 30% of tourism spending already taking place outside the regions of Canadian Rockies and Edmonton and Calgary.
The UCP government stated that in the next 10 years, it is taking actions to improve the tourism industry to a $20-billion opportunity and developing rural tourism is one of the main contributors to realize that goal.
