Added security to be at Woodward Career high after two students shot outside school
Counselors and additional security will be at Woodward Career Technical School on Wednesday following the shooting of two students after school Tuesday, officials said.
The students, 16 and 17 years old, were in the hospital Tuesday after the shooting, which happened just after the school day at a bus stop near Seymour and Reading roads, Cincinnati police public information officer Jonathan Cunningham said.
Cincinnati Public Schools spokeswoman Kathryn Robinson told The Enquirer that students were moved back into the building when the shooting occurred.
One teen was transported to Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and the other to University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Both were listed in stable condition Tuesday evening.
A red or maroon four-door vehicle was seen driving from the scene and is believed to be connected to the shooting, Cunningham said.
On Feb. 23, another student was shot off Woodward campus and returned to the school to seek help. The building was placed on lockdown.
Anyone with information about the suspected vehicle or the shooting is asked to call investigators at 513-352-3040.
