Jaipur: AICC general secretary in-charge of the state Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa has warned of action against party leaders who foment factional fights by making unnecessary statements in the public.
Randhawa said, “I will talk to the leaders who have made statements. No one can listen more than me. Still, if someone makes statements, then action will have to be taken against them.”
On the issue of Sachin Pilot not attending the divisional conferences of the Congress, Randhawa played it down saying, “We sent letters to all the party leaders. All the leaders know that this programme is of Rahul Gandhi. It is possible that he (Pilot) is busy elsewhere and unable to come. It is not such a big deal.”
Randhawa was talking to the media in Jaipur before leaving for Delhi on Tuesday.
Speaking about the priority of the party, he said that the government had announced many welfare schemes and these schemes should reach the people. MLAs and ministers have been told that the time for Corona has passed and now we should answer the people. Whatever grievances and problems people have, they should be resolved now. We also have to enlighten the people on what is going on in the country, he said.
He said that the BJP government at the Centre has not been able to give relief to the people from inflation but our government has done it. Farmers are also getting special benefits. Everyone is getting 100 units of free electricity. The schemes of our government are directly appealing to the people, he said.
The recent face-off between Gehlot and Pilot camp was after Ramlal Jat, a minister in the Gehlot camp, without naming Sachin Pilot said that some people speak in favour of Rahul Gandhi while criticising their own government in the state. Jat had said that there is discipline in BJP and RSS because of which they were winning, while discipline had taken a back seat in the Congress party.
