Man, bro accused of raping Kalpi woman

Kanpur: A woman hailing from Kalpi area of Jalaun has accused a local man of raping her on the pretext of marriage.
The woman also accused the man’s brother of sexually assaulting her after lacing her food with intoxicants.
An FIR has been registered against both on the complaint of the victim on Tuesday.
According to Chhibramau Kotwali police, a woman, a native of Jalaun, filed a complaint against Dayanand, resident of Masgaya, Kalpi area of Jalaun, who befriended her on phone, of promising to marry and then raping her in a rented accomodation in Chhibramau Kotwali area of Kannauj.
As per her complaint, Dayanand kept promising that he would marry her and took her to the rented accommodation where he sexually exploited her. “One day Dayanand’s younger brother visited her room and raped her after offering her eatables laced with sedatives,” the complaint stated.
Inspector Chhibramau Kotwali Santosh Kumar Kushwaha said FIR has been registered against both accused. “We have started searching for the accused and have sent the woman for medical examination,” he said.
