HANUMAKONDA: For the second time in two days, the SSC language paper was found floating around multiple WhatsApp groups in Warangal, less than 30 minutes after students began writing their Hindi exam at 9.30 am, on Tuesday. The 'leak' was tracked down to a local exam centre in Kamalapur in Hanumakonda district, police said.
Three people, including a minor, have so far been arrested in the case under Section 5 of Telangana Public Examinations (Prevention of Malpractices and Unfair Menace) Act.
Talking to reporters, Warangal police commissioner A V Ranganath said the question paper was first procured by the accused minor from an examination centre at the Zilla Parishad High School for Boys.
"He climbed a tree to reach the exam hall on the first floor and asked a student to share the paper. While the student refused to hand over the paper, he allowed the minor to take photographs. It was then forwarded to another accused, M Shiva Ganesh at 9:59 am," said Ranganath.
Subsequently, 18-year-old Ganesh shared the paper on a WhatsApp group - 2019-2020 SSC - which was picked up by a third accused, G Mahesh, who works as a lab assistant in Kakatiya Medical College (KMC).
