Noida's Sector 55 residents want weekly market shifted, say it’s causing traffic jams
Residents say people often drink liquor in parks, which poses a security risk
NOIDA: Traffic to patrolling, Sector 55 RWA raised civic issues in a meeting with Shakti Mohan Awasthi, additional deputy commissioner of police (ADC) of Noida and other police officials including Sanjay Singh SHO police station Sector 58 and chowki in-charge on Sunday.
Residents demanded increase of security in parks as well as shift of the weekly market to one side of the road to facilitate traffic movement and removal of unclaimed cars and other vehicles parked in the sector. “We demanded increased police patrolling in the sector especially at night and afternoon.
Miscreants consume alcohol in parks and roam around intoxicated,” said Gajendra Singh Bansal RWA president of Sector 55. Bansal also raised the issue of a large number of unclaimed cars that are parked in the sector. “These vehicles could be stolen. So we demanded that they are checked and removed as soon as possible,” said Bansal, adding that the crane charges for the job would be borne by the sector RWA. ADC Awasthi heard all the problems of the residents and directed the chowki-incharge to address the issues at the earliest. He also gave tips to the residents on how to avoid online fraud.
