New York Mets fans were treated to the debut of Kodai Senga on Sunday. The hard-throwing Japanese pitcher did not disappoint. He went 5.1 innings pitched, giving up one run on three hits and striking out eight batters.

The Mets went on to win the game, 5-1. Tommy Pham would be the hero in this one, as he had a monster game at the plate. He went 3-4 with a home run, three RBIs, and a stolen base.

The win on Sunday brings the Mets to a 3-1 record to start the season. This is exactly how they needed to open up their season, especially starting out with a division rival.

They'll look to keep up the momentum as they start the series against the Milwaukee Brewers on Monday. Carlos Carrasco will get the start on the hill for New York, while Milwaukee will hand the ball to Freddy Peralta.

"Great job again boys. Off to a great start so far this season. Keep it going!" one fan tweeted.

@Mets mets win braves lose, we really winning it all easily this year
@Mets What a series win! National League hitters beware because Kodai Senga and the ghost pitch are here to stay. What a start to his MLB career, just dealing throughout. Another boss day offensively and with timely defense to boot. Keep it up and #LFGM

New York Mets fans couldn't be happier with Sunday's win. It was an all-around effort. The offense was good, the pitching was good, and they didn't make any errors defensively.

In three of their four games, the Mets have put up five or more runs. This is encouraging, as pitchers are usually ahead of hitters at the start of the season.

The New York Mets capped off their series win with eight different players getting a hit on Sunday. While Pham did most of the heavy lifting, it's exciting to see a lineup full of guys getting hits. Pham, Mark Canha, and Pete Alonso all have home runs on the year.

After their first four games of the season, the Mets have a combined 29 hits. The team is seeing the ball out of the pitcher's hand well. The team is hoping to bring this type of offense to Milwaukee.

Pham, who has been dealing with a cornea-thinning condition, has been fitted with a new set of contacts. He has seen the ball really well, and that is transitioning to his game at the plate. He's a player who seems to be unstoppable when he gets on a hot streak. Keep an eye on Tommy Pham, he could have a big year this season.
