Sodexo Bags 3-Year Extension For its Sullom Voe Terminal Job

Sodexo has been given a three-year contract extension at the Sullom Voe Terminal.

Sodexo has secured a three-year extension to its catering and FM services deal at the Sullom Voe Terminal in the Shetland Islands. The company puts the extension value at GBP 7.5 million ($9.3 million).

Sodexo said its new three-year contract has an option to extend a further two years and is worth around GBP 2.5 million ($3 million) a year. Sodexo will continue to provide catering, cleaning, warehouse and logistics, garage services, and pest control for the 400-plus employees on site.

“We are thrilled that our colleagues will continue to deliver services for this important contract as the Sullom Voe Terminal enters an exciting new phase,” said Ed Morrow, Managing Director of Energy & Resources for Sodexo UK & Ireland.

“We thank our client for their continued trust in extending our partnership together and thank our teams who are providing exceptional service and support to workers at the terminal, and we hope to build on what has already been accomplished so far in this partnership,” Morrow said.

With integrated services that support employee wellbeing and adapt to changing needs, Sodexo's Energy & Resources business provides a ‘home from home’ service to many people who work in often remote and complex environments, such as LNG (liquefied natural gas) plants and refineries on land or offshore platforms in the North Sea, the company said.

The Sullom Voe Terminal is an oil complex operated by EnQuest on behalf of a consortium of oil companies. The complex currently receives oil by pipeline from the oilfields in the East Shetland Basin and the Deep waters West of Shetland. The oil is exported from Sullom Voe by tanker and shipped worldwide.
