Durani passes away: There was a two-minute silence in memory of former India all-rounder Salim Durani, who passed away overnight in Jamnagar. Durani played 29 Tests, scoring 1202 runs and taking 75 wickets. Rollicking start: Yashasvi Jaiswal took strike against Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper Bhuvneshwar Kumar and immediately made his intentions clear. He drove him down the ground to get his first boundary before flicking and pulling Fazalhaq Farooqi in the next over to collect a brace of fours. Jos, the Boss: Off-spinning all-rounder Washington Sundar was introduced into the attack as early as the fourth over. Turned out that was all the invitation Jos Buttler, the IPL 2022 Orange Cap winner, needed as he belted Sundar for two massive sixes. More carnage followed as Buttler smacked T. Natarajan, bowling his first over, for four fours, including a hat-trick of hits to the fence. The England white-ball captain raced to his first fifty of this season with yet another four, off just 20 balls (fifth-fastest for Royals). Here I am: English leggie Adil Rashid made his SRH debut in Hyderabad. He was signed by the Sunrisers for Rs 2 crore. Quite staggeringly, before today, he had played just one match in IPL history, for the then Kings XI Punjab. Rashid, who has regularly starred in the Vitality Blast and appeared in the Big Bash League, Bangladesh Premier League and Abu Dhabi T10 League, has been key to England's white-ball success. Teeing off: The momentum that carried Royals to their fastest team hundred in just 7.4 overs continued unabated, with RR captain Sanju Samson adopting an aggression-first approach. He raced to 30 off just 16 balls with two fours and two sixes, stitching a 54-run second-wicket stand with Yashasvi Jaiswal. The young left-handed Jaiswal was caught for a 37-ball 54. Howzat!: Umran Malik clean bowled Devdutt Padikkal with a searing 149.2 kph yorker. Padikkal was hanging back to negotiate Malik's extra pace and was late getting his bat down. Although quick, Malik's ball to get rid of Padikkal was nowhere near as fast as Malik can bowl. All smiles: It's not every day the bowlers can afford a lighter moment when they have conceded in excess of 200. But here, Umran Malik and Fazalhaq Farooqi can be seen smiling after the Sunrisers Hyderabad restricted the Rajasthan Royals to 203. Moment of brilliance: It was a full delivery from Trent Boult just outside off stump, which SRH No. 3 Rahul Tripathi prodded at and Jason Holder showed incredible reflexes to dive low to his left and pluck one of most astonishing catches of this season. Earlier in the over, Boult had clean bowled Abhishek Sharma with an away going yorker.
