Woman beaten to death by hubby in Kota

KOTA: A 24-year-old woman was beaten to death by her husband at their home in Bombay Yojana area under Udhyog Nagar police station of Kota city on Saturday night.
Police said that Laxmi Harijan was allegedly thrashed with sticks and some sharp object by her husband, Ajay Harijan, 26, a resident of Luharbasti in Bombay Yojna on Saturday night. Ajay fled the house, leaving her injured.
A police team reached his house early on Sunday morning after receiving information about woman’s death. “Laxmi, a native of Basoli village in Bundi district, was married to Ajay around four years ago. Ajay was a habitual drinker. Laxmi’s parents have alleged she was subjected to torture and harassment for dowry since the time of her wedding” said SHO Manoj Singh Sikarwal of Udhyog Nagar police station.
