Madras high court to take up OPS's plea on April 20
O Panneerselvam
CHENNAI: The wait gets longer for the expelled AIADMK leader O Panneerselvam and his men, as the Madras high court has said it will take up the appeals filed by him and three others, challenging the single judge's order refusing to stay the party's July 11 resolutions, for final hearing on April 20.
While the petitions were listed for hearing on Monday, a division bench comprising Justice R Mahadevan and Justice Mohammed Shaffiq admitted the documents but refused to pass any interim orders, as it would create unnecessary confusion.
Panneerselvam contended against the single judge's order refusing to stay the AIADMK party's general council resolutions dated July 11, which abolished the posts of coordinator and joint coordinator and revived the post of general secretary.
