PATNA: As the Union home minister
Amit Shah talked about "jungle raj" in a big way to target the ruling dispensation on Sunday, the Grand Alliance retaliated strongly saying the saffron party was behaving hysterically after sensing its defeat in the 2024 LS elections with secular forces joining hands in Bihar.
"Shah has got very panicky. This panic now gets reflected in his eyes very much. His party is reaping what it has harvested," state RJD spokesperson Shakti Singh Yadav told reporters. Charging the BJP with spreading communalism in the name of religion, Yadav said if Shah cancelled his visit to Sasaram, his party itself was to blame.
"They (BJP) are spreading hatred while we spread love. We talk about communal harmony, they talk about disintegration," he said.
Slamming the BJP for trying to make state's law and order an issue, state JD(U) spokesperson Neeraj Kumar said a complete "rule of law" prevails in the state. Accusing Shah of telling lies over the issue of law and order, Kumar said the people of the state would serve a hard lesson to the BJP in the coming elections.
Congress legislature party leader Ajit Sharma said the top BJP leadership has been worried since the chief minister walked away from the NDA which is underlined from the frequent visits of Shah to the state.
"The BJP is constantly trying to create rift between the two communities, but we are not a bit bothered ," Sharma said.
