Over Rs 4L kept in car stolen

Ludhiana: A few unidentified miscreants stole Rs 4.75 lakh cash from a car after breaking its windowpane at Basant park area on Saturday evening. The cash had been collected by the worker of a liquor contractor.
The complainant, Naresh Kumar of Basant Avenue said that he works in a wine company.
Inspector Satwant Singh, SHO at division number 6 police station said that an FIR had been lodged against the unidentified accused under Section 379 (punishment for theft) of the IPC. It is suspected that the accused were chasing the victim knowing that he was carrying cash with him. Police are scanning CCTV camera footage to identify the accused.
