Burglars strike at finance firm

Ludhiana: Unidentified miscreants targeted HDB Finance office branch at Humbran road and escaped with cash safe, inverter and batteries. However the safe was empty. Police lodged an FIR against the unidentified accused under sections 457 (lurking house trespass) and 380 (theft) of the IPC. In his police complaint, Ishwar Das, a resident of New Chander Nagar, Haibowal, who works at HDB Finance office, said that he locked the office at around 7pm and went home. When he came the next morning, he came to find the lock broken. Inside the office, the cash safe, inverter and batteries were missing. He alerted the police.
