Dhanbad: Deputy commissioner (DC) Sandeep Singh urged the coal companies, the outsourcing companies, and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) to make necessary amendments in their Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to stop the entry of unauthorised people in the mining area besides the abandoned mines to stop illegal mining in the district.
Addressing a joint meeting of the Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) management, the Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL) management, the district administration, the CISF personnel, and the police officials on Saturday, the DC asked the coal mining companies and the outsourcing companies to lodge an FIR against those involved in illegal mining. He also suggested equipping the security personnel with walky-talkies and install alarm systems to detect the entry of unauthorised people in mining areas.
