    NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Monday.

    Shares of Sunteck Realty(up 3.86 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(up 3.27 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(up 2.19 per cent), Phoenix Mills(up 1.51 per cent) and Godrej Properties(up 1.4 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

    On the other hand, Macrotech Developers(down 1.55 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.

    The Nifty Realty index closed 0.9 per cent up at 390.85.

    Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 38.3 points at 17398.05, while the BSE Sensex stood up 114.92 points at 59106.44.

    Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 34 ended in the green, while 15 closed in the red.

    Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Rail Vikas Nigam, Suzlon Energy and GMR Infra were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

    Shares of SML Isuzu, Systango Technologie, TTK Healthcare, Technocraft Ind and Asian Hotels hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Vikas Proppant & Gr, Eastern Silk, Nirman Agri Genetics, ART Nirman and Seya Industries hit their fresh 52-week lows.
