Jaipur: Governor
Kalraj Mishra while addressing the 39th convocation ceremony at Banasthali Vidyapeeth on Sunday said that education is the best medium to empower women.
He said that enrolment of women in higher educational institutions in our country is very less as compared to men and efforts are needed at all levels to end this gap.
On Sunday, 126 students were given gold medals and 4,864 students were conferred with degrees, of whom 311 were awarded PhD degrees. On the occasion, Sudesh Dhankar, wife of Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankar, was also awarded a PhD degree.
“The Panchmukhi-intellectual, practical, artistic, moral and physical education system of Banasthali Vidyapeeth is very useful. This education leads to all-round development of the students,” said Mishra. tnn
