BJP will get zero seat in Bihar in 2024 polls even if Amit Shah relocates his residence at Patna Raj Bhawan: JD(U) president Lalan Singh

PATNA: JD(U) national president Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh on Monday said that the BJP would get ‘zero’ seats in Bihar in the 2024 general elections even if Union home minister Amit Shah, who is considered chief poll strategist of the saffron party, relocates his residence in the Patna-based Raj Bhawan till the next Lok Sabha polls.
He also accused the BJP leadership of “misusing the institution of the governor.”
Reacting to the Union home minister’s Sunday speech at Hisua in Nawada district, the JD(U) chief also said that the BJP was a “sinking boat” and no one even thought of going with the saffron party.

Shah had on Sunday said that when he telephoned the Bihar governor over communal disturbances the JD(U) chief felt it bad, Lalan on Monday said why would he feel bad if the Union minister speaks to the governor.

“You (Shah) speak to the Bihar governor even 10 times every day. Why would we have any problem…? But, the people of West Bengal, Kerala and Maharashtra are eyewitnesses, they all have seen how you people do “political use” of an institution like the Governor. If you wish you can relocate your residence to the Patna-based Raj Bhawan till the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. But you get the election result like the 2015 assembly polls. India will be ‘BJP-Mukt’ (free of the BJP) in 2024 and the ‘Barka Jhutha Party’ will get only ‘zero’ in Bihar,” Lalan said in a series of two tweets posted in Hindi.

Shah had also said that “the people of Bihar have clearly decided that in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, in all the 40 seats of Bihar, lotus of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to bloom.”
Lalan said, “It is very clear from your speech at Nawada that the Barka Jhutha Party is in desperation.”
“Dear home minister, the BJP has lost its reliability due to its false promises and ‘Jumla’. You term the election promises as ‘Jumla’ after getting power. No discussion is being held on the issue of price rise. What to talk about unemployment, there is a ban on appointments in the government services. Why will people look towards a party which has kept mum on a corporate scam of Rs 81,000 crore?” JD(U) chief said in another tweet.
Reacting to Shah’s statement that the doors of BJP have been closed for CM Nitish Kumar and Lalan Singh forever, the JD(U) chief asked, “Has anyone gone to you (Shah) with an application? (to join the BJP). What to talk about: We are not even thinking about going with the BJP. The 'Barka Jhutha Party' is a sinking boat. It is bound to sink in 2024.”
Shah had on Sunday said, “I want to make it clear here that if anyone has the illusion that we will ally with Nitish Kumar after the election, then they should drop it. I also want to say to Lalan Babu that the doors of the BJP are closed for you forever".
