Mobiles, contraband found in Ludhiana jail

LUDHIANA: The recovery of mobiles and other contrabands continues from the jail. In yet another case, the Ludhiana jail authority recovered mobiles, a cache of intoxicating pills and tobacco sachets from the jail, during a special checking drive on Friday evening. Assistant Superintendent at Ludhiana Central Jail, Inderpreet Singh said that a surprise check was conducted in the jail on Friday, during which the security personnel recovered 5 mobile phones, 2,567 intoxicant pills and 113 sachets of tobacco. He added that the contraband was found abandoned in jail. tnn
