JAIPUR: Social justice and empowerment minister Tikaram Jully launched the online portal for Mukhyamantri Divyang Scooty Yojana at Ambedkar Bhawan on Saturday. Now, a specially-abled person can apply for a scooty online under the scheme.
As per the budget announcement, 5,000 scooties will be distributed under the scheme in 2023-24.
The minister said the problems faced by the applicants will be removed with the launch of the portal. “The process of submitting applications will be streamlined and, therefore, enhance transparency,” said Jully.
Meanwhile, Jully distributed scooties to Divyang beneficiaries at Savitribai Phule girls’ government hostel, Gandhinagar, on Saturday in connection with the chief minister's budget announcement. The registration processes of scooties were also completed on the spot.
Addressing the beneficiaries, he said, “Scooties were being distributed to 77 specially-abled persons in the first phase. The remaining applicants must register themselves soon in order to take advantage of the state government's scheme.”
Samit Sharma, secretary, department of social justice and empowerment, appealed to people to come forward and take advantage of the schemes of the state government. He encouraged specially-abled beneficiaries to do positive work and to stay informed about the schemes of the state government.
