Three held for stealing earth mover at Madel-Tivim

Panaji: Colvale police on Sunday arrested three Jpersons for committing theft of a earth moving machine.
As per SDPO Mapusa, Jivba Dalvi, a FIR under section 379 IPC was registered on the complaint by Yamnoor Kadkal, stating that unknown accused persons had stolen his earth moving macinery - parked in a public place at Madel Housing Board, Madel-Tivim Goa.
A team was deployed to investigate the matter and accordingly accused persons Ravi Chavan, Ravi Dhakappa Rathod (both residents of Madel) and Prakash Rathod from Tivim - all natives of Karnataka - were nabbed.
The trio later confessed their involvement in the theft and said they carried out the act by starting the JCB machine by overriding the ignition system. Accused persons have been placed under arrest and remanded to three days police custody.
