Maharashtra Eknath Shinde inaugurates Veer Savarkar 'Gavrav Yatra'

Maharashtra Chief minister Eknath Shinde on Sunday inaugurated Veer Savarkar Gavrav Yatra in Thane. The aim of the ‘Gaurav Yatra’ is to spread awareness about the works of Savarkar among people and mark their protest against those who are speaking against the freedom fighter.Rahul Gandhi had said at a press conference after his disqualification from Lok Sabha following his conviction by a Surat court in a criminal defamation case that he would not apologise. "My name is not Savarkar, my name is Gandhi and Gandhi does not offer an apology to anyone," he had said. The BJP and Shiv Sena had slammed Gandhi's remarks.
