Two held with MDMA, ganja in Thiruvananthapuram

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Pettah police have arrested two persons on Saturday with 0.12 grams of MDMA and five grams of ganja at Chacka.
The arrested persons have been identified by the police as Nithin Suresh (28), son of Sureshkumar of Nithinam at Haritha Nagar near Vazhottukonam in Vattiyoorkavu, and Sajin (28), son of Sisupalam of AS Bhavan near Kunnoorsala at Karakulam.
Recently, top cops who received information about their activities passed the message to Pettah police to keep the duo under scanner. During the investigation the police came to know about their regular Bengaluru trips to buy drugs and the Pettah police were waiting for an opportunity to arrest them.
After getting information that they were waiting for a person to sell drugs in front of the Chacka fire force office, a team of police reached there to arrest them. During the inspection, the police seized the drugs from a bag and a four-wheeler which they were travelling. The accused have been in drug sales for years, said the police.
A case has been registered against them under section 20(b) (ii)A, 22 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
