Active cases decrease by 92 in Ahmedabad; 125 new Covid cases

AHMEDABAD: In a major drop in the number of active Covid cases in Ahmedabad city, against 125 new cases the city reported 217 patients discharged, cutting active cases by 92. On Saturday evening, Ahmedabad had 831 active cases.
Across Gujarat, 372 new cases were recorded. These included 30 from Surat, 23 from Vadodara and 10 from Rajkot cities.
With 54% of new cases from eight major cities, the share of other urban centres increased in the last fortnight. Ahmedabad continues to have a weekly test positivity rate (TPR) above 10%, according to the Union ministry of health and family welfare.
