3 held for Rs 8 lakh loot from river sand royalty team

JAISALMER: Police solved the case of loot of Rs 8 lakh from the river sand royalty team on February 19 in Balotra town in Barmer and arrested three accused.
SP Diganth Anand said that on February 19, unidentified accused stopped the vehicle of river sand royalty team near Balotra and looted Rs 8 lakh.
Special team of the district and Balotra police arrested Shiv Prakash Jat, Shravan Bishnoi and Kamlesh Kumar Vishnoi and solved the case.
He said that the royalty personnel after collecting money from the rivers and check post were going to Balotra to deposit the money in the office.
The SP said that a team was formed and with the help of technical assistance and information from informers, three members of the gang were arrested. They are being inquired about other members of the gang, stolen money and vehicle used on the day of the incident. Soon, the money will be recovered and others will be caught.
